Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (/ˈɡɑːndi, ˈɡændi/;[2] 2 October 1869 – 30 January 1948) was an Indian lawyer,[3] anti-colonial nationalist,[4] and political ethicist,[5] who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule,[6] and in turn inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world. The honorific Mahātmā (Sanskrit: "great-souled", "venerable"), first applied to him in 1914 in South Africa, is now used throughout the world

- His multifarious and dynamic personality was based on truth and nothing but the truth
- Non – violence was another intrinsic element of this philosophy.
- The simplicity of his life, always following his own teaching, summarized by "My Life is my Message"

Valérian is a person who is learning the basics of CSS and HTML. He was asked to write a tribute. He chose Ghandi has the reading of one of his biography during a trip in South America had a great impact on him. Valérian then had the chance to travel to India for 6 weeks and visit Ghandi's museum in Delhi. He was also influenced by other personnaly in history, such as Martin Luther King and Che Guevera. He still doesn't like the fact that we name street after famous people.
